So just trying to get some help on who to see in a Family Law Court to help me enforce or explain a current visitation schedule for the upcoming holidays..particularly in California, and Orange County to narrow it down.

I have heard the mediators office is the place to seek help, especially since thats where we made the parenting agreement through mediation. But really just trying to make sure, since I dont have too much time left and plan on spending a day at the court house to find my answers.

Problem is to make it short, the other parent is taking advantage of little loopholes in our paperwork just cause its not clearly explained to the “T” on the paperwork about who gets what day and so forth, even though we have alway done it a certain way for the last few years, now cause they are upset of other issues, they want to use that error and try and ruin my holiday plans,Thanksgiving to be exact. The current order clearly says that I get that day and weekend this year.

So if anyone has experience in this,wether in California courts or any at all, or can lead me in the right direction,Id gladly appreciate it, pretty much I need someone to tell me if Im wrong, which Im 99% sure Im not, and if so to give the other parent a call and inform the other parent of my right, so there are no arguments when that day comes and both sides can have problem free Holidays.

The child is 12, yes it was through recent court mediation, and it has been entered as of last month, I already have the paperwork and everything.
Basically the issue at hand is all we really fixed is times on the holiday schedule, all holidays, to be from 10-9 on the same day, except Thanksgiving was always from Thrursday to Sunday, and we had even discussed this after that we forgot to make it clear that Thanksgiving doesnt apply to those times since its always an extended weekend holiday..well until now they were ok with it but now trying to enforce the liitle detail we overlooked and have me return the child at 9 and then pick him up on Friday when the supposed weekend starts. Which I am not one to argue over simple things I rather lose and give up a few hours than to give them the fight, but this puts a damper on my holiday plans with the rest of my family since we were planning on traveling out of the county for the weekend.

My dad is a doctor, but I remember when I was a kid- on all the official papers he put a friend of his who was also a doctor as my official physician and would have his friend sign everything even though it was my dad who did all the treatments and shots and things. Did he do this because he wasn’t legally allowed to be my doctor? What about other family members? I know of a plastic surgeon who did all the plastic surgery for his wife.

A couple years ago I was in a bad custody fight for my son. My ex had family members that work for the judge so of course I lost custody of him. He was almost 2 years old and had never been away from me for one night. It was a horrible thing to go through and still is. I get my son every other weekend and it is still so hard for me to let him go back but I have no other choice. He cries and begs to stay with me. No lawyer would even talk to me to try to help me when I told them my situation. I have now been able to save up alot of money get a good attorney because I know I’m going to need one. Does anybody know of any good family law attorneys anywhere in Oklahoma?

I am a professional IT manager who is looking into changing career so I don’t end up like so many great IT managers that just because they are old and a younger person with less salary can do the job, they are almost out of job or have a job but got salary cut. Trust me I have seen a lot of these cases around me so I was thinking to go back to school to practice law and make good money no matter how old I get, I’d still have a good job and a good salary. now … can someone tell me which one I would make more money? Family Law ( I live in L.A by the way) or Intellectual Property?
I heard the school I choose to go to matters for the Intellectual Property practice. I can’t leave L.A so what are my options?
I really need to know what is the minimum salary when I start my law career too cause I am walking away from a very good salary in IT mgmt so I need to make sure I think through this big change before doing anything. Much appreciated!

Every year my mother-in-law makes us a calendar with ALL of our families birthdays,anniversaries,etc. I really love this calendar and think it’s a thoughtful gift. The problem is that she puts relatives on the calendar that I either don’t know or don’t keep in contact with which leaves me with a calendar that has little room to write on and distracts me from recognizing the special days that I do need to recognize. I ask this because I’m tentatively interested in the issue of female succession in the Japanese monarchy and female inequality. I suddenly wondered if the Japanese equal gender opportunity law would apply. (After all, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the emperor Hirohito’s status after WWII)

I’m in a hell of a lot of trouble at the moment (essay topic crisis with just over 1 month left) so I’d really appreciate an informed answer
