<description>Any attorney is allowed to take on any case for free.

You have to find an attorney willing to help you for free. It's very difficult to find a pro bono family law attorney. There are simply SO many people who want/need free legal representation.

You can contact your state's bar association, and your county's bar association. It would be a complete waste of time to simply begin contacting random attorneys to ask them if they will take your case for free. Your best bet is to get a referral through an agency.&lt;a href="http://www.cargearusa.com/srch/srch.php?q=mirrors"&gt; Not Dear Abby&lt;/a&gt;</description>

<description>You asked: "...Are ... Lawyers able to take on Pro Bono cases in the state of New Jersey?..."

The question is this: Are lawyers allowed to work for free in New Jersey?

Sure. Anyone can work for free if they want to. Will they work for free? That's a whole nother question.

<description>Any lawyer can take on Pro Bono cases. It just means you are agreeing to work for someone without getting paid. In some places lawyers are obligated to provide a certain number of pro bono hours every year.
