I am looking at the hours and they are pretty bad. I want this job. I am just scared how it will affect my family life.
Are the hours that bad? Especially if I work in a safe area?

Last Sunday my brothre-in-law’s girlfriend stabbed him in the arm into the back an inch away from his lung. She admitted to the police that she did what she did but hid the knife. She is out of jail today because the DA states there is not enough evidence since the weapon was never found. Is that possible? Can someone stab you and not be able to keep her in jail simply because the weapon is missing?

If not from a family of law enforcement is it easy to get into and understand?

I am very interested in going into law enforcement. It seems to be the only thing I really want to do and have a passion for. However, I do ride alongs and talk with my friend who is a cop but his father was a cop and it was all he wanted to do and it seems like it’s all so easy. So I wanted to know if it is possible to become a police officer if you have no real knowledge of the job before hand.

I am thinking of doing jail time instead of having to pay the hefty fines and fees. This is my first offense.
