I am doing a law assignment and I need some law articles dealing wit: administrative law, contract law, family law, etc. (Canadian articles only). Toronto Star has some and none on the following topics. If there are any good links to some good law articles dealing with these subjects, can you please post the links up? Thank you very much.

*that mainly focus on the child best interest
*that is educated in dv,divorce,custody
*that is willing to agree to a payment plan or half of the retainer fee to get things start then the other half in the middle of the case
*a lawyer that is like a “bulldog” thats doesnt take and punchs or bullshit from the opposing party

I pick these fields because they interest me, they have openings in New York City, and I won’t need a 2nd grad degree or tons of prior experience.
I’d like to have a life and work no more than 50 hours a week (avg) but in a pinch I’d work more. Tell me pros/cons, what the work is like (nice/drudgery), etc.
I’m considering Legal Services for the loan repay, hours, benefits but I’ll take what I can get.

Some background on me: I’m almost forty, I graduated from law school four years ago, and I have been working as a “document review” attorney since then. Prior: I worked in janitorial, special ed, + other menial work. BA in literature and history. I’m a 1st gen. Irish-American, my family and friends aren’t connected.
I’m trying not to sound ungrateful but I’d appreciate answers that respond to the question I posed not questions that I didn’t pose. I never hinted I wanted to be a partner in a law firm.

If so, what is it like? where do you attend?how was your first day? were you scared or confident? is it really that hard? I mean I know it’s hard but many people like to exaggerate bunches and say that its so not worth it and too much reading and this and that. it really discourages me. I want to attend law school to specialize in family law because that’s want I care about. the family. I want to help people adopt children and all those things. also the divorces seem interesting to hear new stories and crazy cases.
