Never speaking or seeing my family in law would be a treat to me! Must I add that your in-law family doesn’t love you and is not on your side when you divorce, especially if you’re not in good terms with the new-ex husband

yes i found it hard to leave my ex’s family, but i had to to get past the heartache. he was cheating on me with a woman he met at work, and his family began to take his side, and just didn’t want to be in the middle of it.i found it devastating because this family had been my family for over 10 yrs, and the minute he met her i was out. we were married 10 yrs, and all it took was him not wanting me anymore for them to not want me anymore.

I guess my situation is a little different. My late husband passed away almost 5 years ago and I still keep in touch with his parents. I find it hard to let go of them because they represent something I loved with all my heart. I am married now to a wonderful man but I made sure he understood I will never loose touch with my former in laws because they are a part of my past that I won’t forget.

I have on one occassion… I thought the world of both… But they have both passed since.. I am glad for having known them and kept in touch when i could though..
