Family Law Help in Texas?
Concerned mom asked:
Is there any legal assistance in family law for a parent that is just being worn down in legal fees by the other parent with a higher income?

Two suggestions…..
1. call yoour nearest college and see if they have a legal aid program.
2. go talk to some high priced lawyers explain your situation and see if one will take it pro bono. a lot of states require ever lawyer to do a certain number of them each year….

Contact legal aid and get them to give you a list of legal help associations. Even if you don’t qualify for legal aide, they will be able to give you the information. If you can not find an association to help you, contact your nearest law school and see if they can connect you to a senior law student who is looking to earn some extra money. They aren’t lawyers, but they generally know enough to be able to help you. And they have more time to be searching through case reviews than an actual lawyer will have, so you might come out better off. I have an ex who has been doing this for 10 years. I have lost two homes and ended up having to file bankruptcy because of being buried with legal expenses, and the courts just let it keep happening.
