I know where I live, you have to go back to the original county to file. Then request for a change of venue. It then is up to the judge to approve or deny it. You can always call the courts and ask them. The law might be different where you are at. Beauty

The courts prefer that you stay in the same jurisdiction if at all possible but if your current county is some distance away from the original jurisdiction, you have the right to request a change of venue for the new motion. Paperwork available at the clerk of courts office. Poohcat1

If you need to file a new case against someone in a different courtry it is your district Federal court. However, where some action took place already, you are probably stuck in that forum. You need to tr to get a legal opinion here with an attorney who practices in federal court. But I think you are going to ahve to go back to the original court. Good luck. sweet.caroline

You will need to file in the original court that the suit takes place in at least for the time being. You may be able to ask for a change of venue but depending on the case and / or it’s complexity you may not be granted it. Walter XI JPA
