Well the first thing you did by having him locked up is a step n the right direction, every state has different laws so all I can give you is some general information, start by asking the local police if there are any victims services where your at most places have women's shelters that will help you get through this and on your feet again, you could try contacting the local Catholic Charities and see what they can do ( you don't have to be Catholic) Check your local phone book for women's groups that may be able to help you as far as legal help etc. also check the phone book or on line for the closest embassy for your home country they may be able to help you, as far as custody of your daughter goes, if he's convicted of Domestic Battery he doesn't stand a chance of getting custody of her. I hope this helped you, Good Luck trying to help

There is almost no reason that you could lose your daughter, there are shelters for poor people, I think they give meals, I'm not sure but I think you could get a lawyer for free, if you go though the state, you could probably get another passport for your daughter even if your husband has to sign for it since he tore it up, just make sure you bring it up on court day and pray too that will help. Good Luck! Daniel
