That creates an automatic conflict of interest! That is why police are not supposed to accept free coffee or meals because it can put them in those situations or make it APPEAR to be something it is not. Everyone in the community has already paid for the station with their taxes, so I don't see an ethical problem with them donating more. If there is no conflict of interest then I would have no problem with it.
