No it’s not illegal, sounds like a good plan to me.

It’s not against the law — no crime would be committed. However, you would be held liable for financial obligations if you just walked away from them, and that could potentially result in a broken law here or there.

If you owe debts clear them up.. you are morally responsible, not legally, to family and friends.
Why not step up and announce your decision what are you afraid of ?
As you say it is your life..

It could be if you are leaving a child behind that is under age.

Right now I wouldn’t blame you for what you are thinking as going to Montana isn’t to bad of an idea.

Make sure you cross your t’s and dot your I’s before you leave then it won’t bother you after you get where you want to go..You could live with a clear conscience.

Would like to head for the hills myself but it is to late for me.

Have a good day and life in Montana.

I doubt there are any legal consequences to disappearing from your family. I wonder what would have you do that though. Are you running away from troubles? Please don’t do that because it will not work in the long run. Those troubles have a way of hunting us down and showing up when ever they feel like it. I learned of a saying that is all of too true. “That which you resist, will persist.” No matter where you go in this world, the troubles Will show up.
Think before you leap. Lots of love for you dear.

I’ve always wanted to do just that my self, but always made excuses (to my self) and have never done it…
my excuse is now I’m to old….many dreamers in the world, few doers…..go 4th and make us proud…

If you have children, you’ll get way behind on back child support.

Other than that, make sure all your debts are paid in full and take off.

  11. Shogun Says:

Only if you run out on lawful contracts and obligations (i.e.: child support, etc.) and don’t disappear with any property that is collateral for debts. The others have to find you to sue you. Have fun and watch out for those Grizzlies. Be advised that as soon as you use you SSN and/or date of birth to acquire the property, you are traceable.

  12. Benjamin W Says:

Sort of. If you have children, they have to be cared for, and you’ll owe child support. Otherwise, there’s nothing stopping you, provided you’re at least 18.

    Have fun.

Why are you so sad wanting to leave everybody? There are open doors out there just you didn’t see some
