Is there a policy or housing law in Hawaii that permits two kitchens in a single family home?

family law

I wanted to make an second kitchen in my new extension in the back for the tenants. Can we make a second kitchen in the new extension. My house is a single family home, are there any laws or housing policies that would provide a 2nd kitchen remedy in a single family home.

If you have tenants it would no longer be a single family home and your home probably isn’t zoned for multi family housing. Check with your zoning board before building a kitchen that they can make you take out again if you don’t have the proper permits.
