other then word of mouth what is the best way to find a local good family law firm that do legal aid?

    I would do a search on the web first, for your state, and then they break it down to your city, and then the address. I found mine that way, and got lucky because the company I called uses Skype, so the call didn’t cost me a thing! But what they normally do is gather some basic information from you, like your contact info, and then forward it to the correct dept. and then someone calls you. But anyway, my advice is look in the phone book, or go to a university that has a law school. Sometimes they will take on a case or 2 depending on what area they are practicing, and maybe go to bat for you. I would also call a couple lawyers and ask them if they can help you, and if they can’t then I would ask for a referral to a different lawyer. jefferey515
