Should the goverment create a law that protects moms that give birth and take care of their new family for 2 years, assuring that employers cannot discriminate having a gap in employment?

    Not really. It’s a woman’s choice whether she wants to have a baby and take time off or focus on her career. I’m tired of people thinking they deserve everything and there should be no consequences to the choices they make. There are consequences. Of course if you take two years off, you’re not going to be able to compete with someone who didn’t take two years off. That’s just reality. I’m not saying discrimination is right, but at the same time you can’t have exactly what you would have had if you had made a different choice.

    Employers should be allowed to hire the people they think are best for the job, not the ones that the government tells them they have to hire. Christine
