What is the feminist/equality movement doing about inequality in law?

family law
Eoghan. asked:

More specifically, family law.
Ill give the obstruction of parental alienation as an example.
Celtish got some info in that?
Well cristina it would be more constructive if we didnt have that us against them mentality and an inclusive group that actually stood for eqality instead of just pretending to.
Setting men and women up as political opponants that have to fight amongst themselves to try to maintain equality is a huge waste of resourses when we could have an inclusive people movement instead.

You, might wanna give the specific law, you’re on about.

  2. The Lorax Says:

Tons, if it is inequality against them.

If it is in their favor they couldn’t give a rat’s as$

  3. Mr Pink Says:

The more you give them the more they want. They are ungrateful and need to be aware of authority. Remember the fundamental rule: might is right.

  4. Jen Says:

Not sure what you are talking about…

And Mr Pink, I do hope you are kidding

  5. Cristina Says:

Why is this solely our battle? Most feminists agree that family law is unequal and we would probably back proposals to make it more fair, as long as they don’t tip the scales unfairly against women. We’re just waiting for you MRAs to get the ball rolling and come up with some plans that don’t try to throw women to the wolves. Right now it appears you are all too busy finger pointing and name calling to get much of anything accomplished. Why is it you think you can attack us at every level and then expect us to fight your battles for you?

I agree Eoghan and that is basically what I stated. The divisiveness is coming from your end.

Professor C is right that it isn’t the laws which are uneven, it is the application of the laws.

  6. celtish Says:

Equalists are actively lobbying against unfairnesses in the law.

I don’t know what if anything the feminists are doing.

  7. ProfessorC Says:

There is no real inequality in the law - there may be in the application of the law. But that is the realm of mostly male judges.
