Most lawyers major in something liberal artsish or social scienceish (though this may have something to do with the fact that it's a way to make money without having to know math...) so a degree is sociology should be fine. What you major in is less important than that you take courses that will develop basic skills you'll need to be a lawyer--including writing, oral communication and analytical thinking skills.
