What should i wear to an in-law family party?

Just dress nice. Wear a nice clean pair of trousers, and a modest blouse with appropriate undergarments (no red bra under a sheer white blouse, for example). For shoes, wear a nice pair of flats or low heels, modest makeup and minimal accessories (watch, one ring, one pair of earrings).
Or wear a nice skirted suit and blouse and appropriate shoes, hosiery, etc.
You could even ask your Mum what she would suggest…the occasion may be more casual than you are imagining. PenelopeM

I would say a black and white dress with heels, and cute earrings with a bracelet. Here is what I was thinking:

Depends on the type of do
If it is a party, at a pub, hall etc, then I would go for a dress with some tights and a pair of heels
If it is a home party then maybe a skirt (pencil or bubble) with a nice plain top (not too low) and some tights and heels.
If it a pretty casual thing then some plain trousers or jeans with a nice top and some boots or pretty shoes.
If it is a wedding or christening then a pretty dress, not too short or too low cut and some pretty heels. willowbee
